How to cancel Backblaze
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Backblaze — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Backblaze in 5 steps
- Sign in at backblaze.com from a web browser.
- Open 'My Settings' / 'Account'.
- For Computer Backup, cancel the licence/subscription; for B2, remove buckets and the payment method.
- Turn off auto-renewal or select 'Cancel'.
- Cancel before your renewal date and keep the confirmation.
What happens after you cancel
You keep Backblaze backup until the end of the current billing period, then it stops and your backup is retained only briefly before deletion — restore anything you need first. Backblaze prorates refunds on yearly plans in some cases. Cancel before your renewal date.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
Backblaze is billed on its website — there's no app-store subscription to manage.
