How to cancel Brilliant
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Brilliant — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Brilliant in 5 steps
- Cancel where you subscribed: brilliant.org on the web, or your app store if you signed up in the app.
- Web: sign in → 'Account settings' → 'Subscription' → 'Cancel'.
- App store: open Subscriptions and select Brilliant → 'Cancel'.
- Cancel before your renewal date — annual plans and trials auto-renew.
- Confirm the cancellation.
What happens after you cancel
You keep Brilliant Premium until the end of the current billing period, then it won't renew. Annual plans are prepaid and auto-renew; free trials convert to paid, so cancel before the trial ends. No refund for the current period is typical.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead of on brilliant.org.
Charged after cancelling Brilliant?
It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Brilliant — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.
