How to cancel Cleo

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Cleo — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Cleo bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Cleo in 5 steps

  1. Open the Cleo app and sign in (cancellation is done in-app or via app store).
  2. Message Cleo in-app: type 'cancel' to reach the cancellation flow, or go to 'Profile' → 'Manage Subscription'.
  3. If billed through the app store, cancel there: iPhone Settings → Subscriptions, or Play Store → Subscriptions.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date and confirm.
  5. Keep the cancellation confirmation.

What happens after you cancel

Cleo (Cleo Plus/Builder) is a monthly subscription. Cancelling stops future charges at the end of the current period. If you used a cash advance or credit builder, settle any balance first. Cancel before your renewal date.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section — deleting the app does not stop billing.

Charged after cancelling Cleo?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Cleo — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Cleo charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Cleo keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Cleo.
Does cancelling Cleo delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Cleo's settings.
How do I know my Cleo cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Cleo and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.
