How to cancel CuriosityStream

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling CuriosityStream — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if CuriosityStream bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel CuriosityStream in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at curiositystream.com from a web browser.
  2. Open 'My Account' → 'Subscription' / 'Membership'.
  3. Select 'Cancel Subscription' and follow the prompts.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — annual plans auto-renew.
  5. Confirm you receive a cancellation email.

What happens after you cancel

You keep access until the end of the current billing period, then it won't renew. CuriosityStream annual plans renew automatically, so cancel before your renewal date. No refund for the current period is typical.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, or Roku, cancel through that provider instead of on curiositystream.com.

Charged after cancelling CuriosityStream?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from CuriosityStream — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will CuriosityStream charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, CuriosityStream keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling CuriosityStream.
Does cancelling CuriosityStream delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in CuriosityStream's settings.
How do I know my CuriosityStream cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from CuriosityStream and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
