How to cancel Discovery+

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Discovery+ — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Discovery+ bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Discovery+ in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at discoveryplus.com from a web browser (cancel where you subscribed).
  2. Open 'Account' → 'Manage your membership' / 'Subscription'.
  3. Select 'Cancel subscription' and follow the prompts.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — Discovery+ auto-renews.
  5. Confirm you receive a cancellation email.

What happens after you cancel

You keep access until the end of the current billing period, then it won't renew. Discovery+ generally doesn't refund the current period. In some regions Discovery+ content has moved into Max, so check which service you're actually billed for.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or a TV/cable provider, cancel through that provider instead.

Charged after cancelling Discovery+?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Discovery+ — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Discovery+ charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Discovery+ keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Discovery+.
Does cancelling Discovery+ delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Discovery+'s settings.
How do I know my Discovery+ cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Discovery+ and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.
