How to cancel Disney+

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Disney+ — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Disney+ bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Get notified at launch

Cancel Disney+ in 5 steps

  1. Log in to DisneyPlus.com in a web browser (not a smart-TV app).
  2. Click your Profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Account.
  4. Under Subscription, click your Disney+ plan.
  5. Click Cancel Subscription, choose a reason, and confirm.

What happens after you cancel

You keep access to Disney+ through the rest of your current billing period; it ends on what would have been your next renewal date.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

You can't cancel from a smart-TV app or if you subscribed through a third party. If you signed up via Apple, Google, Amazon, or Roku, you must cancel through that platform's subscription settings instead.

Charged after cancelling Disney+?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Disney+ — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Disney+ charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Disney+ keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Disney+.
Does cancelling Disney+ delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Disney+'s settings.
How do I know my Disney+ cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Disney+ and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.

CancelProof records your cancellation automatically — so if you're charged anyway, you're covered.
