How to cancel Super Duolingo

Cancel Super Duolingo in 5 steps

  1. If you subscribed in the app, open Duolingo → tap your profile → Settings → 'Manage subscription' (this opens your app store).
  2. In the app store's Subscriptions, select Super/Duolingo Max and choose 'Cancel Subscription'.
  3. If you subscribed on the web, sign in at duolingo.com → Settings → 'Super Duolingo' → 'Cancel'.
  4. Confirm the cancellation.
  5. Verify the subscription shows as cancelled or expiring.

What happens after you cancel

You keep Super/Max features until the end of the current billing period, then revert to the free version. Deleting the app does not cancel billing — you must cancel where you subscribed. No prorated refund for the current period.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

Most Duolingo subscriptions are billed via the Apple App Store or Google Play, so cancel there: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Play Store → Subscriptions.
