How to cancel eHarmony

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling eHarmony — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if eHarmony bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel eHarmony in 6 steps

  1. Sign in at eharmony.com from a web browser (cancellation is web-based, not in the app).
  2. Go to 'Settings' / 'My Account' → 'Manage Subscription' or 'Billing'.
  3. Select 'Cancel Subscription' or turn off automatic renewal, and follow every prompt.
  4. If the online flow won't fully cancel, contact eHarmony customer care (they may require a call) and state clearly that you want to cancel and stop renewal.
  5. Decline any retention or discount offers.
  6. Get email confirmation of the cancellation and keep it — eHarmony has faced regulatory action over hard-to-cancel subscriptions, so proof matters.

What happens after you cancel

eHarmony subscriptions auto-renew and are often locked to a committed term (e.g. 6 or 12 months). Cancelling stops the NEXT renewal but usually won't refund the current term — so cancel well before renewal and keep proof.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead of on eharmony.com.

Charged after cancelling eHarmony?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from eHarmony — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will eHarmony charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, eHarmony keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling eHarmony.
Does cancelling eHarmony delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in eHarmony's settings.
How do I know my eHarmony cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from eHarmony and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
