Cancel FreshBooks in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at freshbooks.com (the account owner cancels).
  2. Open 'Settings' → 'Billing and Upgrade' / 'Account'.
  3. Select 'Cancel account' and follow the prompts.
  4. Export your invoices and reports first.
  5. Cancel before your renewal date and keep the confirmation.

What happens after you cancel

You keep your FreshBooks plan until the end of the current billing period, then it stops (or reverts to any free tier). Annual plans are prepaid, so cancelling turns off the next renewal — cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.
