How to cancel Future

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Future — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Future bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Future in 5 steps

  1. Open the Future app and sign in.
  2. Go to 'Settings' → 'Membership' / 'Subscription'.
  3. Select 'Cancel membership' — you can also message your Future coach or support.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — Future bills monthly.
  5. Confirm the cancellation and keep it.

What happens after you cancel

Future pairs you with a personal coach for a monthly fee. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access to the end of the current month. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions instead — deleting the app does not stop billing.

Charged after cancelling Future?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Future — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Future charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Future keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Future.
Does cancelling Future delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Future's settings.
How do I know my Future cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Future and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.

CancelProof records your cancellation automatically — so if you're charged anyway, you're covered.
