Cancel GitLab in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at gitlab.com (a group owner cancels).
  2. Open your group → 'Settings' → 'Billing'.
  3. Turn off auto-renewal or downgrade to Free.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — subscriptions auto-renew.
  5. Keep the confirmation.

You keep your GitLab plan until the end of the current billing period, then it reverts to any free tier. Annual plans are prepaid; cancelling turns off the next renewal. Cancel before your renewal date, and export/download anything you need first.
