Cancel Google One in 5 steps

  1. Go to one.google.com and sign in, or open the Google One app.
  2. Open 'Settings' → 'Cancel membership' (or 'Manage membership plan').
  3. Choose 'Cancel membership' and confirm.
  4. If you're over the free 15 GB after cancelling, tidy up files so nothing stops syncing.
  5. Confirm the plan is set to revert to the free tier at the end of the period.

What happens after you cancel

You keep the extra storage and benefits until the end of the current billing period, then revert to the free 15 GB. If your storage exceeds 15 GB after that, new uploads and backups pause until you free up space — existing files aren't deleted. Google prorates a refund in some regions.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you bought Google One through the Apple App Store (iOS), cancel under iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions instead.
