How to cancel Google Workspace
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Google Workspace — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Google Workspace in 5 steps
- Sign in to the Google Admin console at admin.google.com (you must be an administrator).
- Go to 'Billing' → 'Subscriptions'.
- Select your Workspace subscription → 'Cancel subscription'.
- Follow the prompts and confirm — export any data you need first.
- Keep the cancellation confirmation.
What happens after you cancel
Cancelling ends the subscription at the end of the current term (or immediately for Flexible plans). After cancellation you lose access to paid Workspace services and data may be deleted after a grace period — export first. Annual/fixed-term plans may bill the remaining commitment.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
Google Workspace is billed through the Admin console. If you bought it via a reseller, cancel through that reseller instead.
Charged after cancelling Google Workspace?
It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Google Workspace — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.
