How to cancel Headspace
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Headspace — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Headspace in 5 steps
- In a desktop or mobile web browser, go to headspace.com/subscription/manage and sign in (this applies only if you subscribed directly through Headspace's website).
- Locate your active membership on the subscription management page.
- Select the Cancel Membership link.
- Follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation. If the button is missing, email help@headspace.com to request cancellation.
- Keep the confirmation email you receive from Headspace as proof that auto-renewal has been turned off.
What happens after you cancel
When you cancel, auto-renewal is switched off but your membership stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, so you keep full access to your content until then. Your account and meditation history are preserved if you decide to resubscribe.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
Many Headspace memberships are purchased in-app through the Apple App Store or Google Play and must be cancelled there, not inside the Headspace app. On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Headspace > Cancel Subscription. On Android, open the Google Play app and go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Headspace > Cancel subscription. If your plan came through a bundle (such as Spotify) or an employer, you must cancel through that provider.
Charged after cancelling Headspace?
It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Headspace — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.
