How to cancel Hinge

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Hinge — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Hinge bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Hinge in 6 steps

  1. Open the Hinge app and tap your profile, then the Settings gear.
  2. Tap 'Subscription' / 'Manage Subscription'.
  3. Hinge routes you to your app store, since the subscription is billed there — tap through to it.
  4. In the store's Subscriptions screen, select your Hinge plan and choose 'Cancel Subscription'.
  5. Confirm the cancellation.
  6. Verify the subscription shows as cancelled or expiring.

What happens after you cancel

You keep paid Hinge features (HingeX / Hinge+) until the end of the current billing period, then revert to the free version. Deleting the app does NOT cancel billing — you must cancel in the app store. No prorated refund for the current period.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

Hinge is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, so cancel there: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Play Store → Subscriptions.

Charged after cancelling Hinge?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Hinge — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Hinge charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Hinge keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Hinge.
Does cancelling Hinge delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Hinge's settings.
How do I know my Hinge cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Hinge and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
