How to cancel Hulu

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Hulu — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Hulu bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Get notified at launch

Cancel Hulu in 5 steps

  1. Log in to Hulu.com in a browser and open your Account.
  2. Under Your Subscription, select Cancel.
  3. If Hulu offers to pause your subscription instead, choose to continue cancelling.
  4. Select Continue to Cancel and confirm.
  5. Save the confirmation email as proof.

What happens after you cancel

You keep access to Hulu until the end of your current billing cycle, then it stops renewing.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through a third party — Apple, Amazon, the Disney Bundle, Spotify, or a TV provider — the cancel option won't appear on Hulu; cancel through that provider instead.

Charged after cancelling Hulu?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Hulu — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Hulu charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Hulu keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Hulu.
Does cancelling Hulu delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Hulu's settings.
How do I know my Hulu cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Hulu and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.

CancelProof records your cancellation automatically — so if you're charged anyway, you're covered.
