How to cancel Identity Guard

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Identity Guard — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Identity Guard bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Identity Guard in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at identityguard.com from a web browser, or call Identity Guard support to cancel.
  2. Open 'My Account' → 'Subscription' / 'Billing'.
  3. Select 'Cancel' / turn off auto-renew (full cancellation may require a call).
  4. If within the 60-day money-back window, request a refund.
  5. Get a cancellation confirmation number and keep it.

What happens after you cancel

Identity Guard offers a 60-day money-back guarantee on annual plans — request a refund within the window. Otherwise cancelling stops future charges and protection runs to the end of the term. Keep the confirmation number.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

Charged after cancelling Identity Guard?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Identity Guard — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Identity Guard charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Identity Guard keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Identity Guard.
Does cancelling Identity Guard delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Identity Guard's settings.
How do I know my Identity Guard cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Identity Guard and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
