How to cancel IDrive

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling IDrive — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if IDrive bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel IDrive in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at idrive.com from a web browser.
  2. Open 'Account' / 'My Account' → 'Subscription'.
  3. Turn off auto-renewal or select 'Cancel', or contact support.
  4. Download any files you need before access ends.
  5. Cancel before your renewal date and keep the confirmation.

What happens after you cancel

You keep IDrive until the end of the current billing period, then it stops. IDrive offers a refund within a limited window on new purchases. Download your backed-up files before the period ends. Cancel before your renewal date.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead of on idrive.com.

Charged after cancelling IDrive?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from IDrive — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will IDrive charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, IDrive keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling IDrive.
Does cancelling IDrive delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in IDrive's settings.
How do I know my IDrive cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from IDrive and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.
