How to cancel LifeLock

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling LifeLock — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if LifeLock bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel LifeLock in 6 steps

  1. Sign in to your Norton/LifeLock account at my.norton.com or lifelock.norton.com.
  2. Open 'My Subscriptions' and turn OFF automatic renewal for your LifeLock plan.
  3. To fully cancel and request a refund, call LifeLock Member Services (1-800-543-3562) — full cancellation is often phone-based.
  4. State that you want to cancel and stop billing; decline retention offers.
  5. If within the money-back window (usually 60 days), request a refund.
  6. Note the confirmation number and keep the confirmation email.

What happens after you cancel

Turning off auto-renewal stops future charges; your protection runs until the current term ends. LifeLock offers a 60-day money-back guarantee on annual memberships — request a refund by phone if you're within the window.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If your LifeLock plan came bundled with Norton 360, manage it under the same Norton account. App-store purchases are cancelled through that store.

Charged after cancelling LifeLock?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from LifeLock — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will LifeLock charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, LifeLock keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling LifeLock.
Does cancelling LifeLock delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in LifeLock's settings.
How do I know my LifeLock cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from LifeLock and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
