How to cancel LingQ
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling LingQ — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel LingQ in 5 steps
- Cancel where you subscribed: lingq.com on the web, or your app store if you signed up in the app.
- Web: sign in → 'Account settings' → 'Subscription' → 'Cancel'.
- App store: open Subscriptions and select LingQ → 'Cancel'.
- Cancel before your renewal date — free trials and prepaid terms convert/auto-renew.
- Confirm the cancellation.
What happens after you cancel
You keep LingQ until the end of the current billing period, then it won't renew. Free trials convert to paid and prepaid terms auto-renew, so cancel before that date. Deleting the app does not cancel billing.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead of on lingq.com.
Charged after cancelling LingQ?
It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from LingQ — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.
