Cancel Medium in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at medium.com from a web browser (cancel where you subscribed).
  2. Click your profile → 'Settings' → 'Membership' / 'Manage subscription'.
  3. Select 'Cancel membership' and follow the prompts.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — monthly and annual memberships auto-renew.
  5. Confirm you receive a cancellation email.

What happens after you cancel

You keep Medium member access until the end of the current billing period, then revert to the free tier. Annual plans are prepaid; cancelling turns off the next renewal. No refund for the current period is typical.

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions instead of on medium.com.

Will Medium charge me after I cancel?

Does cancelling Medium delete my account?
