How to cancel Midjourney

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Midjourney — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Midjourney bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Midjourney in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at midjourney.com from a web browser (or type /subscribe in Discord to open your billing page).
  2. Open 'Manage Subscription' / 'Account'.
  3. Select 'Cancel Plan' and follow the prompts.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — monthly and annual plans auto-renew.
  5. Confirm the cancellation.

What happens after you cancel

You keep your Midjourney plan until the end of the current billing period, then it stops. Cancelling mid-cycle keeps access (and any fast hours) until the period ends. Midjourney offers a refund only if you've used very little of the plan's generations that cycle. Cancel before your renewal date.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

Midjourney is billed on its website (via Stripe/PayPal) — there's no app-store subscription to manage.

Charged after cancelling Midjourney?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Midjourney — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Midjourney charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Midjourney keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Midjourney.
Does cancelling Midjourney delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Midjourney's settings.
How do I know my Midjourney cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Midjourney and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
