How to cancel Netlify
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Netlify — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Netlify in 5 steps
- Sign in at app.netlify.com (a team owner cancels).
- Open 'Team settings' → 'Billing' / 'Plans'.
- Select 'Cancel plan' / downgrade to Starter (Free), and remove any paid add-ons.
- Cancel before your renewal date — paid plans bill monthly/annually.
- Keep the confirmation.
What happens after you cancel
You keep your Netlify plan until the end of the current billing period, then it reverts to any free tier. Annual plans are prepaid; cancelling turns off the next renewal. Cancel before your renewal date, and export/download anything you need first.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
Netlify is billed on its website. If you subscribed through a reseller or app store, cancel there instead.
Charged after cancelling Netlify?
It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Netlify — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.
