How to cancel Notion
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Notion — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Notion in 5 steps
- Sign in at notion.so from a web browser.
- Open 'Settings' → 'Plans' (or 'Settings & members' → 'Billing').
- Select your paid plan → 'Change plan' / 'Cancel subscription' → downgrade to the Free plan.
- Confirm the cancellation in the billing portal.
- Keep the confirmation email.
What happens after you cancel
Your paid features stay active until the end of the current billing period, then your workspace reverts to the Free plan. Annual plans are prepaid; cancelling turns off the next renewal but usually isn't refunded for the current term. Your content stays intact on the Free plan (within its limits).
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
Notion is billed on its website (via Stripe). There's no app-store subscription to cancel.
Charged after cancelling Notion?
It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Notion — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.
