Cancel O2 Germany in 5 steps

  1. Sign in to Mein O2 at o2online.de, or prepare to send a written cancellation (Kündigung).
  2. In Mein O2, use the online cancellation form, or send a written notice by post/email.
  3. Since German law changed, ongoing contracts can be cancelled monthly after the minimum term with one month's notice.
  4. State your contract/customer number and the cancellation date clearly.
  5. Keep the cancellation confirmation (Kündigungsbestätigung).

What happens after you cancel

O2 Germany contracts have a minimum term (often 24 months), after which they can be cancelled monthly with one month's notice under current German law. Cancel in writing or via the online form and keep the confirmation. Request number portability (Rufnummernmitnahme) if keeping your number.
