How to cancel Prodigy

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Prodigy — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Prodigy bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Prodigy in 5 steps

  1. Cancel where you subscribed: prodigygame.com on the web, or your app store if you signed up in the app.
  2. Web: sign in as the parent → 'Account' / 'Membership' → 'Cancel Membership'.
  3. App store: open Subscriptions and select Prodigy → 'Cancel'.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — memberships auto-renew.
  5. Confirm the cancellation.

What happens after you cancel

You keep the Prodigy paid membership benefits until the end of the current billing period, then revert to the free game (which is still fully playable). Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. No refund for the current period is typical.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead of on prodigygame.com.

Charged after cancelling Prodigy?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Prodigy — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Prodigy charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Prodigy keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Prodigy.
Does cancelling Prodigy delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Prodigy's settings.
How do I know my Prodigy cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Prodigy and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
