How to cancel Public
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Public — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Public in 5 steps
- Open the Public app or public.com and sign in.
- Go to 'Settings' → 'Public Premium' / 'Subscription'.
- Select 'Cancel Premium' / turn off the subscription.
- Your brokerage account stays open; only Premium is cancelled.
- Confirm the cancellation and keep it.
What happens after you cancel
Public Premium is a monthly subscription for advanced features. Cancelling stops the fee at the end of the current billing month; your brokerage account remains open. Cancel before the next monthly fee to avoid it.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead.
Charged after cancelling Public?
