How to cancel Rocket Money

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Rocket Money — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Rocket Money bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Rocket Money in 5 steps

  1. Open the Rocket Money app (or rocketmoney.com) and sign in.
  2. Go to 'Settings' → 'Premium' / 'Manage Membership'.
  3. Select 'Cancel' — you may need to chat with support in-app to finish, as the flow can be retention-heavy.
  4. Decline retention offers and confirm the cancellation.
  5. Keep the cancellation confirmation.

What happens after you cancel

Rocket Money (formerly Truebill) Premium is a paid membership on top of the free app. Cancelling stops the Premium charges; the free features remain. Note that Rocket Money manages OTHER subscriptions for you — cancelling Rocket Money doesn't cancel those; handle each separately.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead — deleting the app does not stop billing.

Charged after cancelling Rocket Money?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Rocket Money — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Rocket Money charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Rocket Money keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Rocket Money.
Does cancelling Rocket Money delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Rocket Money's settings.
How do I know my Rocket Money cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Rocket Money and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.
