How to cancel Rocket Money
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Rocket Money — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Rocket Money in 5 steps
- Open the Rocket Money app (or rocketmoney.com) and sign in.
- Go to 'Settings' → 'Premium' / 'Manage Membership'.
- Select 'Cancel' — you may need to chat with support in-app to finish, as the flow can be retention-heavy.
- Decline retention offers and confirm the cancellation.
- Keep the cancellation confirmation.
What happens after you cancel
Rocket Money (formerly Truebill) Premium is a paid membership on top of the free app. Cancelling stops the Premium charges; the free features remain. Note that Rocket Money manages OTHER subscriptions for you — cancelling Rocket Money doesn't cancel those; handle each separately.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead — deleting the app does not stop billing.
Charged after cancelling Rocket Money?
It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Rocket Money — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.
