How to cancel SFR

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling SFR — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if SFR bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel SFR in 5 steps

  1. Sign in to your Espace client at sfr.fr, or prepare to send a cancellation (résiliation) letter.
  2. Use the online résiliation option, or send a recorded-delivery letter (lettre recommandée).
  3. Give the required notice; early termination within an engagement period may carry fees.
  4. Request a RIO number if you want to keep your mobile number.
  5. Keep the cancellation confirmation.

What happens after you cancel

SFR contracts may have an engagement period with early-termination fees; outside it, standard notice applies. Cancel via your Espace client or a recorded letter, and use your RIO number to port your number. Return any leased box. Keep the confirmation.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

SFR bills you directly. Cancellation goes through your Espace client or in writing — not an app store.

Charged after cancelling SFR?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from SFR — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will SFR charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, SFR keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling SFR.
Does cancelling SFR delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in SFR's settings.
How do I know my SFR cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from SFR and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.
