How to cancel Shipt

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Shipt — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Shipt bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Shipt in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at shipt.com from a web browser (cancel where you subscribed).
  2. Open 'Account' → 'Membership' / 'Plan'.
  3. Select 'Cancel Membership' and follow the prompts.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — annual and monthly plans auto-renew.
  5. Confirm you receive a cancellation email.

What happens after you cancel

Cancelling stops future Shipt membership charges; you keep delivery benefits until the end of the current period. Annual memberships may be refundable within a limited window. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or a Target account bundle, cancel through that provider instead of on shipt.com.

Charged after cancelling Shipt?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Shipt — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Shipt charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Shipt keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Shipt.
Does cancelling Shipt delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Shipt's settings.
How do I know my Shipt cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Shipt and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
