How to cancel SoundCloud Go

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling SoundCloud Go — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if SoundCloud Go bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel SoundCloud Go in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at soundcloud.com from a web browser (cancel where you subscribed).
  2. Open 'Settings' → 'Subscriptions'.
  3. Select 'Cancel Subscription' and follow the prompts.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — trials convert automatically.
  5. Confirm you receive a cancellation email.

What happens after you cancel

You keep SoundCloud Go/Go+ until the end of the current billing period, then revert to the free tier. Free trials convert to paid, so cancel before the trial ends. No refund for the current period.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead of on soundcloud.com.

Charged after cancelling SoundCloud Go?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from SoundCloud Go — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will SoundCloud Go charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, SoundCloud Go keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling SoundCloud Go.
Does cancelling SoundCloud Go delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in SoundCloud Go's settings.
How do I know my SoundCloud Go cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from SoundCloud Go and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
