How to cancel Squarespace
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Squarespace — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Squarespace in 6 steps
- Sign in at squarespace.com and open the site you want to cancel.
- Go to 'Settings' → 'Billing' → 'Subscriptions'.
- Select the website subscription → 'Cancel Subscription'.
- Follow the prompts and confirm.
- Turn off auto-renew for any domain registered with Squarespace (managed separately).
- Keep the confirmation email.
What happens after you cancel
Your site stays live until the end of the current billing period, then it's unpublished. Squarespace refunds within 14 days of an annual purchase (monthly plans aren't refundable). A domain registered with Squarespace renews separately — cancel its auto-renew too if you don't want it.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
Squarespace is billed on its website. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, cancel there instead.
