How to cancel Strava

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Strava — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Strava bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Strava in 5 steps

  1. Cancel where you subscribed: strava.com on the web, or your app store if you signed up in the app.
  2. Web: sign in → 'Settings' → 'My Subscription' → 'Cancel Subscription'.
  3. App store: open Subscriptions and select Strava → 'Cancel'.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — free trials convert automatically.
  5. Confirm the cancellation.

What happens after you cancel

You keep Strava's subscriber features until the end of the current billing period, then revert to the free tier. Free trials convert to paid, so cancel before the trial ends. Strava offers a refund within a limited window on new purchases.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead of on strava.com.

Charged after cancelling Strava?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Strava — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Strava charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Strava keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Strava.
Does cancelling Strava delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Strava's settings.
How do I know my Strava cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Strava and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.

CancelProof records your cancellation automatically — so if you're charged anyway, you're covered.
