How to cancel Tandem

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Tandem — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Tandem bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Tandem in 5 steps

  1. Cancel where you subscribed: tandem.net on the web, or your app store if you signed up in the app.
  2. Web: sign in → 'Account settings' → 'Subscription' → 'Cancel'.
  3. App store: open Subscriptions and select Tandem → 'Cancel'.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — free trials and prepaid terms convert/auto-renew.
  5. Confirm the cancellation.

What happens after you cancel

You keep Tandem until the end of the current billing period, then it won't renew. Free trials convert to paid and prepaid terms auto-renew, so cancel before that date. Deleting the app does not cancel billing.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel in that store's Subscriptions section instead of on tandem.net.

Charged after cancelling Tandem?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Tandem — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Tandem charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Tandem keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Tandem.
Does cancelling Tandem delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Tandem's settings.
How do I know my Tandem cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Tandem and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.
