How to cancel Tinder
A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Tinder — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.
Cancel Tinder in 6 steps
- Open a web browser, go to tinder.com, and log in (use this method only if you subscribed on Tinder's website; a subscription whose order number starts with MK was billed by Apple and GPA by Google Play).
- Select your profile icon.
- Choose Manage Payment Account.
- Find your active subscription (Tinder Plus, Gold, or Platinum) in the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
- Save the confirmation email from Tinder so you have proof that recurring charges have stopped.
What happens after you cancel
Tinder subscriptions renew automatically until they are cancelled. Once you cancel, no further charges are made and you keep your paid features (such as Plus, Gold, or Platinum perks) until the end of the period you have already paid for. Your Tinder profile and matches remain, just without the paid features afterward.
Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?
Most Tinder subscriptions are bought in-app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and cancelling inside the Tinder app or deleting it will not stop billing. If your order number starts with MK, you were billed by Apple: go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Tinder > Cancel Subscription. If it starts with GPA, you were billed by Google Play: open the Google Play app and go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Tinder > Cancel subscription.
