How to cancel Vercel

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Vercel — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Vercel bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Vercel in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at vercel.com (a team owner cancels).
  2. Open 'Team Settings' → 'Billing'.
  3. Select 'Cancel plan' / downgrade to Hobby (Free).
  4. Cancel before your renewal date — Pro/Enterprise plans bill in advance.
  5. Keep the confirmation.

What happens after you cancel

You keep your Vercel plan until the end of the current billing period, then it reverts to any free tier. Annual plans are prepaid; cancelling turns off the next renewal. Cancel before your renewal date, and export/download anything you need first.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

Vercel is billed on its website. If you subscribed through a reseller or app store, cancel there instead.

Charged after cancelling Vercel?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Vercel — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Vercel charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Vercel keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Vercel.
Does cancelling Vercel delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Vercel's settings.
How do I know my Vercel cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Vercel and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.

Cancelling something? Keep the proof.

CancelProof records your cancellation automatically — so if you're charged anyway, you're covered.
