How to cancel Viaplay

A quick, up-to-date guide to cancelling Viaplay — and keeping proof that you did, in case you're charged anyway.

Before you click cancel: the moment you cancel is exactly when proof matters. CancelProof records your cancellation — the pages, the clicks, the confirmation — so if Viaplay bills you after you cancel, you have a refund pack ready. Add to Chrome — Free

Cancel Viaplay in 5 steps

  1. Sign in at viaplay.com from a web browser (cancel where you subscribed).
  2. Open 'My Account' → 'Subscription'.
  3. Select 'Cancel subscription' / turn off renewal.
  4. Cancel before your renewal date.
  5. Confirm you receive a cancellation email.

What happens after you cancel

You keep Viaplay until the end of the current billing period, then it stops renewing. Trials and intro offers convert to the standard price, so cancel before that date. No refund for the current period is typical.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

If you subscribed to Viaplay through the Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or a TV/telecom provider, cancel through that provider instead of on the Viaplay website.

Charged after cancelling Viaplay?

It happens more than it should. If a charge lands after you cancelled, here's how to get your money back from Viaplay — and why documented proof is what makes the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Will Viaplay charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Viaplay keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Viaplay.
Does cancelling Viaplay delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Viaplay's settings.
How do I know my Viaplay cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Viaplay and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
