Cancel Norton (Norton 360 / LifeLock) in 6 steps

  1. Sign in to your account at my.norton.com with your Norton username and password.
  2. Go to the My Subscriptions tab on your account dashboard.
  3. Find the subscription you want to stop and select Cancel Subscription Renewal (or Manage Renewal).
  4. Click Unsubscribe next to Plan Renewal, then pick a cancellation reason and continue.
  5. If a retention offer appears, choose No thanks, cancel my subscription and confirm your choice.
  6. Allow up to 24 hours for the change to appear, and keep the confirmation email as proof that auto-renewal is off.

What happens after you cancel

Cancelling only disables auto-renewal - it does not end your protection right away. Your Norton 360 or LifeLock coverage continues through the end of the subscription term you already paid for, and the plan simply expires when that term ends rather than renewing. You may lose benefits that are tied to automatic renewal (such as the Virus Protection Promise). If you were recently charged for a renewal and want your money back, you must separately request a refund through Member Services under Norton's 60-day (annual plans) refund policy.

Subscribed through Apple, Google, or another provider?

These steps apply to subscriptions bought directly from Norton. If you purchased Norton through the Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, PayPal billing agreement, or a retail/partner bundle, you must cancel or turn off renewal through that platform, because those charges are managed outside your Norton account. For example, App Store purchases are cancelled under Settings > Subscriptions on your Apple device, and Google Play purchases under Play Store > Subscriptions. A PayPal-billed plan should also have its automatic-payment agreement cancelled in your PayPal account.

Frequently asked questions

Will Norton (Norton 360 / LifeLock) charge me after I cancel?
It shouldn't. After you cancel, Norton (Norton 360 / LifeLock) keeps your access until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then stops billing. If a charge still appears, see our guide on being charged after cancelling Norton (Norton 360 / LifeLock).
Does cancelling Norton (Norton 360 / LifeLock) delete my account?
No. Cancelling stops future billing but usually keeps your account so you can return later. Deleting your account is a separate action in Norton (Norton 360 / LifeLock)'s settings.
How do I know my Norton (Norton 360 / LifeLock) cancellation worked?
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Norton (Norton 360 / LifeLock) and check that your account shows the plan ending. Keeping that confirmation — an email or a screenshot — is your proof if there's ever a dispute.
